How to marry/enter into partnership with a partner that lives in Norway
If your intention is to get married or enter into partnership during your stay in Norway, it is possible to apply for a work and residence permit where the intention is to get married or enter into partnership ("fiancé permit"). If granted you will be given a six months work and residence permit and during this period marriage or partnership must be contracted. If marriage is not contracted during the time you have a fiancé permit, you must leave Norway. This type of permit falls under the same regulations as that of family immigration.
